Gamlingay Records has been approached to see if we know any bands that want to enter a competition to win the opportunity to play at a top London venue….

Young Chamber UK, in conjunction with The SKILLS Factor, has launched its own ‘Battle of the Bands’. They are looking for three groups / solo artists (as voted by the public online), to play at the first ever national final of ‘The SKILLS Factor’ competition in London on September 24th.

There are no restrictions as to style, or genre, or presentation, or the number of entries you can make, but you must own the copyright to the music (no cover versions of other people’s music are allowed).   Register and enter your YouTube video by 30th August 2010.

All you have to do is:

1.      Upload your video onto YouTube

2.      Register your entry http://www.youngchamber.com/skillsfactor/bandentryform.aspx

3.      Give them the link to your YouTube Video when you enter

4.      Get people to vote for you

Because of the nature of our record label we were approached in person to see if we could provide any bands…. so do us proud and make a name for yourselves

Gamlingay Records has been approached by the renowned Indian musician, Mr Ranjeet Sokhi, who is looking to collaborate with western musicians to search for a new music.

Ranjeet is interested in meeting and collaborating with any musician with an open mind and willingness to experiment, though not with loud guitars! Maybe you are a singer? A percussionist? A guitarist? Maybe you play an orchestral or folk instrument. There are no boundaries here, other than your imagination (oh, and loud guitars, of course!)

Anyone who is interested in talking and potentially collaboratig with Ranjeet, should contact Phil in the first instance at phil@gamlingayrecords.org.uk
